Boston Synagogue is built.
1960
Architect: CBT Associates. Also known as the Charles River Synagogue, it is located at 55 Martha Road. The congregation was established in 1960 as Congregation Beit Hamedrash Hagadol Beth Jacob. Boston Globe architecture critic calls the new building “An architectural gem where a mysterious golden light falls into the interior as if coming directly from God.”
